Last New Year if someone had told me that we would end this year with our sweet miracle Sophia, I would have had a hard time believing them. Last January, we had one more IUI planned and then we were staring IVF in the face. Our 5th IUI failed, and we had our initial consultation for IVF. And then came two pink lines and 9 months later, Sophia.
If someone had told me that Nick would match into Dermatology AND match at his top program choices, I would have believed it (because he’s amazing) but would still have the same overwhelming sense of relief and pride that after 4 years of hard work and intense anxiety about the future, he did it. He’s going to be a Dermatologist.
2023 has been a year of fulfilled dreams. After our period of waiting, Heavenly Father kept His promises to us. For all those waiting on their dreams to come true, we send our most heartfelt prayers and best wishes for the new year. Cheers to 2024, where even more big changes come our way as we adjust to being parents, move across the country to North Carolina, and begin Dermatology residency.
Ending this year humbled by all of our blessings and grateful for all of the wonderful memories from these 365. Hoping to be kinder, live slower, cherish the little moments, and trust in my Heavenly Father more this new year.
