Thanks for stopping by our blog! My name is Kaylyn and I'm the author behind Betancourt Blessings. Formally known as Kaylyn's Happily Ever After, Betancourt Blessings was inspired by 1) a much needed rebranding and 2) marriage to my best friend, Nick.
Nick and I meet in June 2016 through Teach for America. After teaching at the same school over the summer, a romance blossomed. We were married July 8, 2017 in Miami, Florida, and could not be happier!
The purpose of this blog is to remind readers (especially myself) that life is beautiful. Even in the hardest of circumstances, we all have so much to be grateful for. On this blog, I strive to share the moments and memories that Nick and I share building our life together. You'll find tales and pictures of our adventures, daily routines, religious faith, and musings about life.
Also, this blog has become my journal. It has become a way to document my thoughts, the events, and the countless precious photographs in my life. While I am not very good at keeping a written journal (and I'm not always the best about regularly publishing on this blog), I continue to come back to this little spot on the internet again and again to review the events of my life since my Senior year of high school and feel an immense sense of gratitude for all of the blessings that I have been given!
