Autumn/Halloween Festivities 2020

This Autumn has been a special season. I really made an effort to make our home comfy and cozy in order to bask in the spirit of the season. Lots of pumpkin and apple treats, and lots of spooky fall movies.

With all of the comfy and cozy, these have been some strange times. Nick and I have both been working from home, me teaching in the living room and Nick doing school in the second bedroom aka office. At the beginning of September, California was facing some massive wildfires. The air quality was terrible (than you air purifier!) and we were staying inside. Take a look at the ash! And how it got dark by 3 p.m.

One Saturday, Nick and I had a great time apple picking! The best part: the treats that came afterwards--apple turnovers and some yummy apple pie!

For one fun date night, we decorated the Costco haunted house.

Nick celebrated his 27th birthday in October, and poor thing had to study most of his special day because he had a huge test the next day. I made sure to spoil him with some yummy sushi and his favorite, funfetti cookies.

For our COVID Halloween, we celebrated at home by carving our pumpkin, Torbert, who ended up looking a little angry. :D We enjoyed some yummy Halloween food (my stuffed pepper Jack o' lanterns which ended up looking a little deformed) and some spice cake cupcakes. We had a great time hosting a virtual Halloween party with the best friends from college a girl could ask for.

Also, VOTE!
