- Woke up at 8 a.m. and got some work stuff done--yesterday I had the best work completion rate of all of distance learning. The students must have known its my birthday today (lol, they had no idea)
- Played Animal Crossing and had my birthday party/KK perform Happy birthday and gave out the cupcakes to the villagers, getting presents along the way
- Got lots and lots of texts from friends and family and a call from my MIL
- My birthday buddy co-worker had a 7-11 delivery of all my favorite treats to my front doorstep
- I have been writing most of the morning--highlights of 2019, more about life under quarantine, and starting our Paris/London travel book
- When Nick finished his medical school class, he came out and made me lunch
- We watched Penguins on Disney Nature
- Then, Nick took me for a drive to Half Moon Bay. We didn't get out of the car (or park since there were barriers everywhere) but just drove along the water and drove through the town--would love to make a day of it AC (after Covid)
- We came home and Facetimed my parents to open my presents from Nick
- I blew out the candles on my cake
- My mom and I online shopped together
- We got Bucca di Beppo takeout for dinner (oh it was absolutely delicious)!
- Nick and I watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
- Receiving cards from Teresita with a sweet homemade rose pin and John/Vivian for the beautiful bracelet
I thought having a birthday in quarantine would be a let down, but it was a birthday to remember. I truly felt loved and spoiled, particularly by my mom and Nick. Here's to a brand new year of life and 365 more days around the sun!
