Destination: Garden of the Gods

After a wonderful day in Denver, we woke up the next morning and made the two hour drive to Colorado Springs to visit the largest free park in the world! We had both heard about Garden of the Gods and definitely wanted to check out its splendor.

We were not disappointed! There are several ways to do Garden of the Gods: you can drive it, you can hike it, or you can casually stroll through it. After talking with a guide at the Visitor's Center, we determined that we would hike it and then we would stroll/drive the rest.

I had not really anticipated hiking like we had the past days at Canyonlands and Arches. We ended up hiking about 6 miles and it was hot!

Breathtakingly beautiful! We sure do love our red rock :D
