After spending two days in the heat, dust, and thick of nature at Canyonlands and Arches, we continued our summer road trip exodus up to Denver, Colorado. We were both excited to go to Colorado, as neither of us had ever been and both of us had heard wonderful things! We were not disappointed! We had a wonderful time (despite a small fender-bender where both ourselves and the car were okay). We got into Denver closer to evening, and decided to start the adventuring the following day.
We hit the ground running the next day. We started off visiting the
Denver LDS temple, then headed for a tour at the
Unsinkable Molly Brown home. I've always been a fan of anything Titanic since I was young, and my dad has made me sit down and watch the
Unsinkable Molly Brown musical. So much of that musical is NOT true! the This webpage about Margaret Brown (which she preferred to be called throughout her whole life) can shed some light on the whole situation.
After the Brown home, we had the most delicious lunch at the
Denver Biscut Company. We looked up the Top 10 restaurants in Denver, choose this one, and were not disappointed! We ordered more than enough food for the two of us!
We spent the afternoon at the very HOT
Denver Botanic Gardens! Absolutely beautiful and boy, do they put the Arizona Botanic Gardens to shame. After a wonderful visit, we had another wonderful visit from the Michelle Wohlgemuth.
