Teach for America

You've probably heard of it. You may have seen posters for it across your college campus. You may have friends that have applied, have done it, or have a lot to say about it. You may have heard deeply moving stories or tales of horror. You may also have read out of the myriad of accounts online either praising this organization or ripping it to shreds.

You like to help people. You care about kids and want to make a difference in the world. You are trying to figure out what to do after college. You're considering Teach for America.

It is my hope that through my posts about Teach for America, everything from the application process to certification to an actual week by week log of my first year in the classroom, you will be able to come to your own conclusions if Teach for America is the right fit for you. These posts are in no way meant to support or defame TFA and are not supported by TFA--I will simply be sharing my own experiences and thoughts.
