Continuing where my Christmas 2020 post left off, we spent the holidays in Florida with Nick's family to end out the year and ring in 2021.
After Christmas, we focused our energy on celebrating the engagement of Nick's sister. We had a small party for them, and then spent a day in the city of St. Augustine, seeing some of the sites of the Old City. We also did the trolley tour, which I have never done before. I learned a whole lot about the history of St. Augustine that I didn't know, and discovered some fun new places to check out!
After Christmas, it was time to make our way South to Miami. We enjoyed the last few days of 2020 seeing Nick's grandmothers, best friend, and spending lots of time with Nick's sister and our nephews. We ran in the new year with a small family gathering, eating lots of yummy food and splashing around in the heated pool. We left Florida right on January 1st (not until after a game of Monopoly that I won--thank you very much Boardwalk and Park Place).
So good to spend time with family, relax, enjoy the warm weather, and have a much needed change of scenery. We're back in California and cheers to 2021!
