Destination: Miami, Florida for Winter Break

On December 28th, we headed down from St. Augustine to Miami so that we could visit more of Nick's family. We had a longer drive because of traffic but we stopped at Chick fil' A, so that made it all better :) We stayed at Nick's Uncle Eddy and Aunt Wendy's house while we were there, and we are SO grateful for their hospitality! Our first night, we visited Nick's grandma Teresita and ate together at Siam Bistro, where we had some delicious Thai food.

The next morning, we went to have traditional Cuban breakfast at Islas Canarias (aka croquetta's) and then made the drive up to the Ft. Lauderdale temple to do baptisms and confirmations for the dead.

Nick was able to both baptize and confirm me, which was a beautiful experience.

We ate at Outback Steakhouse after, using Nick's Christmas gift card, and then walked around Dolphin Mall.

We then ate dinner with Jorge, Vivian, and John at Sushi Ko and got some delicious sushi and fried ice cream. We then came back and had a very stressful game of Mario Party, which we happily ended up winning!

The next day, we had the BEST time going out on Nick's dad's boat. We went with the whole family and coasted around in the ocean, laughed, talked, and enjoyed the beautiful ocean breeze. We then went back to Mike and Yesenia's place and had dinner with them and spent time with the boys.

New Year's Eve! We spent the morning with Sarah and Tyler going to Knaus Berry Farms where we had the most delicious cinnamon rolls, cookies, and rolls. Nick and I then spent some time walking around Tropical Park. That night, we went to Daniela's house and had a great time with Nick's family. We got to hold the twins, ate tacos, and had some INCREDIBLE fireworks go off! 2019 started off to an excellent start!

The next morning, the first day of 2019, we took nice and slow. I planned a lot of things out and then we spent some more time with Mike and Yesenia. We went to Cine Bistro, ate some delicious food, and watched Spiderman: Enter the Spiddy Verse.

The next day was our last day in Miami.  We then went to Tacos and Tattoos, and had a fun dinner with Sarah + Tyler and Vicky and J.C.. We visited Oligta, and spent time with John.

We had the best time in Florida! SO relaxing and so nice to spend time with friends and family.
