Being an RA has been REALLY awesome so far. There hasn't been anything too crazy or bad happen yet. Being an RA gives me the opportunity to serve, which is what I love most! Other than that, learning Chinese has pretty much consumed my life. It's HARD, and because I'm taking Chinese 101 during Spring term, the class moves at an accelerated pace, meaning that we have two lessons a week to learn, not just one. Learning the correct pronunciations, grammar, and learning how to write the characters are all challenging, but I'm so grateful for this opportunity in my life to stretch myself. I'm being asked to change and grow in a lot of ways, but it's only when we push ourselves to new limits do we begin to grow.
This is the time in my life to discover who I am, to learn what my hopes and dreams are. To develop goals and make sure that where I'm headed is in keeping with Heavenly Father's plan. Who I want to be: "Give me the Spirit of God to know and understand myself, that I might be able to overcome whatever of tradition or nature that would not tend to my exaltation in the eternal worlds. I desire a fruitful, active mind, that I might be able to comprehend the designs of God" -Emma Smith Food for thought: "Be useful in the sphere you are called and do not be discouraged because of difficulties in your way, but trust in the Lord and look to Him, and marvelous blessings will be poured out upon you"- Lorenzo Snow Heavenly Father did not send us down to earth to fail, but to succeed miraculously. Now it's time for me to get to work and do my part to make that success happen.
