I'm Only Missing 2 Utah Temples On My Utah Temple Bucket List!

There are 156 operating temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and 17 of them are located in Utah. For Utah Mormons, traveling to all of these temples becomes a type of bucket list. They even sell passports that you can mark off after visiting the Utah temples! I made it a goal while at BYU to join my fellow Utah Mormons, and see all of the Utah temples as well. One problem with this goal while in college is that I did not have a car, and so I had to rely on the generosity of others to make it to these temples. Another problem with this goal still today is that the Church is always building more temples, particularly in Utah.

Upon leaving BYU in 2016, I had visited the following Utah temples:

Logan
Brigham City
Ogden
Bountiful
Salt Lake
Oquirrh Mountain
Jordan River
Draper
Mout Timpanogos
Provo
Provo City Center
Payson
Manti
St. George

I had NOT visited:
Vernal
Monticello
or the Cedar City temple now under construction

While driving from Four Corners National Monument to Moab, Utah, I realized that we were going to drive right through Monticello. Upon Google Mapping the temple, I realized that it was only about 4 minutes off of the main road. My loving fiance, also wanting to help me fulfill my goal, took a pit stop at the temple. Mormon temples are closed on Monday, so we weren't able to go inside, but we were able to walk around the grounds. What a beautiful, small, temple! Now I can say I'm only missing 2 temples--one far up north and one that has not yet been constructed!!

Also before hitting Moab, we pulled off to the side of the road for another pit stop: Wilson's Arch! It definitely rivaled some of the arches that we saw in Canyonlands and Arches National Parks!
