The Bryce Thompson Arboretum

After a busy week of wedding planning, shopping, and running around (more on that later), Nick and I decided to spend our last Saturday before heading back to work out in the wonders of nature. Nick found a Groupon for a half off membership to the Bryce Thompson Arboretum located in the Superstition Mountains, about an hour East of Phoenix. We jumped on the opportunity to get out into nature, and were not disappointed.

The Arboretum was beautiful (much better than the Phoenix Deseret Botanical Garden in our opinion) and was full of hidden surprises. In 4 hours, we hadn't even scratched the surface of what the Arboretum had. We wandered through the Demonstration Gardens, amazed by all of the butterflies flying around. The Arboretum holds a variety of tours depending on the day that you go. We selected the Plants of the Holy Land tour. We lasted about 10 minutes haha The tour was a wee bit unorganized and really dry, so we wandered over to the High Trail, which goes up into the Superstition Mountains. WOW! The Suspension bridge did not disappoint!

We are definitely headed back to walk through over half of the Arboretum that we didn't make it through, particularly to check out the lake. What a fun day with my man <3
