Christmas, A Time of Cheer

Well, as you can see, I changed the title of my blog. I'm not the same person that I was 4 years ago when I created this blog, so I feel it's time for a fitting change. The reason I chose the title I did is because is that is what I feel my life is right now. I'm living a fairy tale- one with good times and bad, epic moments and epic failures, blessings, trials, friends, family, and love. Not everything that happens in this fairy tale is necessarily happy, but the ending will be a happy one. For that reason, I chose to think of my life as a Once Upon a Time...

Christmas was amazing. Truly, it was one of the best Christmas's I've EVER had. It was so good to be home with my parents, and while there weren't quite as many gifts under the tree as previous years, that didn't matter. I was with my family, celebrating the birth of my Savior, and that meant all the world to me. Our living room is absolutely gorgeous at Christmastime, especially now since it looks like an old fashioned Victorian living room. We had Thanksgiving dinner since I missed the actual holiday. And Boxing Day, it was out to the mall, Target, and Meijer to shop! I absolutely LOVE our tradition of allowing me to go clothes shopping the day after Christmas and get the clothes and other things that I really need. It was so good to spend time with mom, and have fun mother-daughter bonding time.

Other than that, I've been reuniting with friends.
