Crazy California

This past weekend has definitely been a whirlwind. Friday afternoon, I went straight from work to the Mesa LDS temple, where our two dear friends, Matt and Ian were being endowed. To learn more about the LDS temple or what an endowment is, click here.

They had a fantastic experience, of which Nick and I were honored to be a part of. After the temple, many in the company went to Sodalicious. We knew we would need that sugar rush to help us carry us through the crazy California trip ahead!

At 1:30 a.m., we loaded up into a van and headed West to CA. Destination: Los Angeles temple. We enjoyed stepping out of the car and a quick breakfast before partaking in a wonderful experience inside a beautiful (and large) temple!

Afterwards, we ate lunch quickly and then got stuck in that classic CA traffic--it took us 2 and a half hours to travel South from LA to San Diego.

The drive was SO worth it (and we weren't the ones driving--so grateful for Ian and Matt for getting us from Point A to B and everywhere in between safely!) because the San Diego temple blew my mind. Absolutely gorgeous! One of a kind. There is nothing to compare. We also happened to be in the right place at the right time, and were asked to help out with sealings. While I won't delve into too much about what happens inside the temple, I will see that I left with an intense feeling of peace and comfort. While there are some big things coming up in our lives, namely Nick and his MCAT, I know that Heavenly Father is on our side and that all will work out. All is well.

We grabbed a quick dinner at Rubio's with the beautiful temple in the background, and then took off for home! I passed out for most of the car ride home, so I was pleasantly surprised when we were pulling into Matt and Ian's apartment complex, almost to be headed home.

Needless to say, we slept most of Sunday :D But we are so grateful for the beautiful memories made on this trip and in the beautiful houses of the Lord <3
