This past weekend, two of my dearest friends came to visit from out of town. Additionally, Sister Cahoon and Sister Welch, the amazing sister missionaries that taught Nick, also came into town for our Sealing.
Before picking up Sharae and Dallis, Nick and I got to eat with Michaela and Becca. How grateful we are to these AMAZING returned missionaries for all that they have done for our family!
Crazily, they both arrived exactly at 10:15 p.m., except Sharae flew in to Mesa-Gateway and Dallis into Phoenix. I picked up Sharae, and Nick picked up Dallis.
It was SO good to catch up with both of these dear, sweet women! They have each taught me so much and I am a better person become of them! I am terrible at keeping up with friends over the phone, so a life update was much appreciated!
Friday night, we stayed up late giving our "apartment tour," (which didn't take long) and playing Ticket to Ride. Sharae, who pretended to be a learning beginner, played strategically and beat me by 1 point for the longest train! Curses Sharae!
Saturday morning, I made a good home-cooked breakfast to get our day started off right. After a slow morning, we got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather by taking a short "hike" at Papago Park and snapping some pics along the way. Afterwards, we hurriedly scarfed down some Lucky Boy burgers and got ready for our sealing!
One of the reasons that I love these two girls so much is because they put up with all of my weaknesses. You see, I put the wrong address for the restaurant that we were attending after the sealing on our invitations. When I asked these two poor girls to deliver the cake to the restaurant, little did they know that the indicated address would take them 15 minutes out of the way. They diligently changed the address on every single card so no one would have to make the same mistake as them!
While we had to say goodbye to Sharae early on Sunday morning, we had some more time with Dallis, which was spent watching Brain Games, chilling, and eating haha
So grateful to have these two girls visit our little corner of Arizona for the weekend! Note: visitors are wanted and welcomed!
