Destination: Redondo Beach/Beach Hopping California

Nick and I were able to check off another state off of our travel bucket list: California! Nick had been to Palm Springs previously to us getting married and I had visited San Diego and Los Angeles, but we were excited to go together for our Thanksgiving Break. Nick and I left on Thanksgiving morning (as my school district sadly does not give me Wednesday off) and headed to Redondo Beach, California, where we had the privilige of staying with the family of Nick's college roommate, Jovan.
Nick and I arrived to stay with the sweetest family on earth. We enjoyed a delicious meal with them, and a tour of the local area by Jovan. That night, we visited Redondo Beach, Venice Beach, and Manhattan Beach.

On our second day in California, we visited Santa Monica, where we had the best time on the pier and walking around the large shopping district. Santa Monica Pier is the end of Route 66, and home to a really old-fashioned carousel. A large ferris wheel overlooks the pier. We really enjoyed our time walking along the various piers of California's beaches because the water was too cold for any beach bum days.

After our beach hopping days, we had a wonderful afternoon/evening in LA on Hollywood Blvd.
