Yep, it's that time of year. The end of Winter Semester and final examinations have begun!
Thankfully, I only have three this semester. I got my hardest exam out of the way today (as it was scheduled)- Comparative Literature 202. I studied hard, and while a few of the questions were tricky and I had to re-word my essays several times, I think that I did well. I know that I put my full effort into both preparing and taking the exam, and that's all a girl can really ask for! I also know that Heavenly Father was by my side the whole time- I have felt His strength in helping to keep me focused and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've actually enjoyed studying! I really like the classes that I'm taking, and gaining new knowledge is always exciting.
Well, onto Book of Mormon (which I need to do well on to get an A in the class) and Principles of Journalism. A day of rest tomorrow on the Lord's Sabbath day and then studying hardcore Monday. I will continue to pray for focus, energy, and dedication and am going to teach myself to learn to study if I die trying!
Now...I'm not too completely stuck in the books. There have been a few wonderful distractions.
First, one of my favorites movies ever- Hello, Dolly! Joseph and I were able to watch it on Thursday night and it was so wonderful and uplifting. If you haven't seen it, I highly encourage you to watch it.
My favorite song from the movie: Put on Your Sunday Clothes. It just makes you feel good :)
And then the most wonderful distraction of them all- going to the temple :) Friday night, Joseph and I had the opportunity to visit the Jordan River temple, which is one of the most beautiful temples ever at night. The temple looks like a pillar of fire, and definitely helped instill the fire of hope within me. The Lord is giving me strength. Through Him, I can do all things :)
Joseph took this one :)
