The 2011 BYU Cymbal Line

Here's my obligatory post to the cymbal line.

Guys, I love you. Well, not in the awkward way, but I love you. Being on cymbals has been my best Drumline experience, WAY better than anything in high school! You guys are all awesome people
and it is SO nice to be around 7 other people who uphold the same standards that I do at all times. You guys are also quite hilarious, Nathan with your funny dancing, Shantia and her AMAZING stories, and Josh Parco (Ocrap!) and his puns.

I'll never forget my first day of Drumline camp where I couldn't do anything successfully- figure 8's were impossible, I couldn't figure out how to hold the cymbal, and I was so weak that holding the cymbals up was even out of the question. You all didn't give up on me, and I'm so grateful for that. Thank you especially to an amazing section leader, Tori, who was tough when she needed to be and encouraged us to be unified as a cymbal line. Thank you SO much to Joseph for giving me rides to band practice every day and for printing off music for me when I forgot mine :D Thanks so much to my big brother, Nathan and Christina, for helping me put on my uniform, telling me where to put everything, and making me laugh. Thank you to Jay, Josh, and Shtantia for always making me smile. I'll miss the seniors so much and good luck with everything you do!! I will definitely miss marching band season, but we had all better get together at least once a month :D
