BYU Drumline

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! There's just SO many things to do, so little time. I must say, I'm finding college a lot less high school. I actually sleep now which is really nice. Homework and classes are going such fine.

Being on the BYU Drumline is an absolutely AMAZING experience! It is so refreshing to be on a Drumline where every player is a member of the Church and has the same standards as you. The guys honor their priesthood, and actually treat girls with respect. At practice on Friday, the band was performing to the best of their ability. Brother Mac called us out on this, and told us that while it was important to get the notes and marching steps right, the main purpose of the Cougar Marching Band was to bring people ot Christ. How cool is that!

Games are absolutely SO fun! I get to be between my big brother and sister, Nathan and Christina. Other than when Nathan gets mad at BYU's lack of skill at football, we're laughing, joking, dancing, yelling, and jumping almost the entire time. Our show music has been SO fun to play (while minus Patriots on Parade with U of U and Fanfare for the Everyday Super Hero with Utah State) but everything else was good :)

A Show
-Animal
-Dynamite
-Independence Day

B Show- ROCKY MOUNTAIN
-Sunshine of My Life
-God Bless the Child
-Big Noise From Winnettka

I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to play in such an incredible band and for the many AMAZING people I've been able to meet. Make sure to come watch the Drumline play before the game at LaVell Edwards Stadium!
